Trainee interviews

How was the first day at the company?

Moubarak Issifou: "The first day at the company was good, I was a bit nervous, but that went away after a while. On the first day of work, we were allowed to learn more about the history of the company and got to know each other as trainees. What I also found good was that after the organisational part, we were allowed to start contributing ourselves directly."

How is everyday life between school and the training company?

Milena Jasmina Asotic: "The working week is very varied. So far I have school one day a week. The knowledge I learn there helps me to understand the work in the company better."

Do you get on well with your work colleagues?

Jan-Philipp Janßen: "Yes. We have a very nice and helpful team here at Testrut. From the very first day at the company, we were warmly welcomed."

 

 

Which departments have you been through so far and which of them did you particularly like?

Milena Jasmina Asotic: "So far I was in sales, where I had a lot of contact with our articles and the orders. I really liked sales because the work there is varied and you are always faced with new challenges. This means that you always learn new approaches and solutions. I've recently joined the import/export department, where I've already had the chance to get to know a few processes."

Moubarak Issifou: "So far, I have gone through 3 departments: Sales, Import/Export and Marketing. In each department I was able to learn new things that I can use for work. At the moment I'm working in the marketing department, which I find the most interesting so far."

What is your daily work routine like at the company?

Jan-Philipp Janßen: "My day-to-day work is very varied. There are always new tasks that are solved with the help of the staff and our support.

What experience from school or previous internships can you apply particularly well at Testrut?

Milena Jasmina Asotic: "At school and also in my federal voluntary service, teamwork was an important part of the work, as was using programmes like Word, Excel and PowerPoint."

Your perspective

  • You are jointly responsible for the execution of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • As part of Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for maintaining the open items list (clarifying payment differences, reclaiming unauthorized deductions, allocating credit memos, etc.) for our German Group companies.
  • They also check and maintain customer master records.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for the dunning process, the collection as well as for the monitoring of credit limits and you process the payment transactions (incoming payments).
  • As part of Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for factual and mathematical invoice verification as well as entering and posting incoming invoices and checking and maintaining vendor master records.
  • You will reconcile vendor invoices to goods receipts, post shipping invoices and correctly allocate them to the appropriate goods receipt.
